The studio was engaged by a young family to help expand and spatially redefine their beautiful detached 18th century costwold stone cottage.
For a growing family of six currently living in a two bedroom home, being able to expand and reorganise their space to suit modern and multi generational living is paramount to their needs. Unaware of Greenbelt land and planning constraints on the cottage, the studio worked closely with them and the local planning department to redesign the cottage to its maximium expansion potential whilst relayering and intersecting their new narrative of family living amongst the existing stone fabric.
